James G. Gill, Jr.  is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina with extensive leadership experience in education, human services, and logistics management. He has a Doctorate of Education from Wilmington University, New Castle Delaware. 

James has dedicated his professional career to service, spending over 25 years supporting people with autism, intellectual disabilities, and mental health needs. James is also a retired reserve Colonel serving in the U.S. Army and Air Force.  He served multiple deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait in support of counter terrorism operations.

James has a special interest in the future of today’s youth. As an educator he has substantial experience in positive behavior support, person-centered supports, systematic instruction, and curriculum design. As the world transitions to more Science and Technology driven industries, he has a growing concern of the readiness of America’s students to accept future challenges. He sees supplement education as a solution to help fill the learning gaps.

James joined Brainy Bytes after an extensive search for a supplemental education enrichment company with a focus of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). James’ goal is to support school districts by offering STEM programs to all Central Virginia children (PK-5^th Grade). Brainy Bytes of Central Virginia will provide FUN, hands-on learning experiences applicable to 21^st Century living. James and his team look forward to partnering with families, educators, and communities to ensure all students in Central Virginia have access to a STEM education.
